Milan - Keisuke Honda be one of the best players of AC Milan at the start of this season. The progress shown by Honda make praised Milan CEO Adriano Galliani.
When newly imported from CSKA Moscow in January, Honda is still sluggish. Appearing 16 times in the second half of last season, players from Japan's only contributed two goals.
But, Honda showed a very different performance as the seasons change. Under the direction of new coach Filippo Inzaghi, he was "hot" and provide significant contributions this season.
Played as an attacking right wing, Honda has so far been packed six goals and two assists in seven matches of Serie A. He also became the top scorer while with Jose Callejon and Carlos Tevez.
"He was always great. When he arrived in January, he did not have time to prepare. He had to adapt in a new country," said Galliani was quoted by the Italian Football.
"Even a (Michel) Platini great even takes the time to be a player as it is known. But, without meaning to compare Honda with Platini, I want to say that foreign players sometimes need to adjust," he continued.
"She is undergoing a great season. He has scored six goals without penalty and even make a goal in the Trofeo TIM and friendly against Valencia. He scored a series of impressive goals," added Galliani.
"The turning point? Scheme of the game. He is a player that relies on his left leg and playing on the right wing. Pippo is working properly by placing it in a certain position, in a role that Honda never lived before and he played very well," he said.
